Pula

It is hard to say at what moment this chemistry between people and places develops, and what are the reasons why, among so manycities, you choose some, while others – despite their objective value – merely touch you in passing, so you move on without looking back. The town of Pula in Istria, belongs, beyond doubt, among the eternal ones where the contrast of ancient past and sizzling present attracts you more powerfully and more lastingly than anywhere else.

Pula’s past is most powerfully written by the squares, streets and monuments through which or by which modern life flows, connecting the passing time and the time to come in a continuous sequence. The forum, which is the central square of ancient and medieval Pula, makes an ideal stage for a variety of performances. It was once lined by arcades with statues and relieves, with temples on its northern side. To this day, the temple of Augustus, built between 2 B.C. and 14 A.D., has been fully preserved.

And while you’ll read history in the city centre, the newer and the modern parts of Pula and its surroundings will offer you an opportunity for a dynamic holiday, adjusted to the needs of a modern tourist. But the brightest star of the coastal region’s natural beauties is, beyond doubt, the Brijuni archipelago, which has been granted the status of a national park and is the destination of many celebrities. In this ambiance, in exclusive venues of Congress Centre “Brioni” this international meeting will be held.
